I recorded this a while back while there was a power cut between when I could upload videos due to my other pc not being able to, now that I am able to upload here is the video I will make another apoligising for the delays properly and getting into things as soon as I have setup everything properly.

okay so my computer died and my current one does not install half of the stuff I need on it and I cant upload any videos at present, and also having some serious stress with british gas still not sorting my bill out.

Just thought Id put an update rather than leave you wondering why Im not posting anything.

After many things going wrong and being constantly ripped off lately I decided to have a mini rant on the matter.  I detail a few of the items I have purchased which I have been truly ripped off on and all of the stress it has been causing when people tell you something is working and it isnt.  Is this what the world has come to where you cant believe anything anyone in shops tell you?

I entered a trial for the phillips wakeup light HF3480 to sample and review it and this is my initial unboxing and first impressions, as you can see I am not particularly impressed by either the light or the methods in which philips used to shift stock.

census 2011 question 17

In the recent 2011 uk census there was a blank question for number 17 and a lot of people wonder why, well there are two types of people actually those who wonder and those who just accept it and move on, I’m one of the previous who thinks whats the point in that, well apparently its to do with a special question for the welsh which seems rather pointless why did they not give us the special question or just put that one on the end and leave it off the uk version. Its like when in high school you get the “this page was left intentionally blank” and you wonder why and sometimes even deliberatly draw something or write “why” or something like that just to see what happens so I figure maybe you should use this question to take the opportunity to ask the government a question yourself, anything you like go ahead show them how stupid they’ve been.

Whats the worst that could happen? Heck if you really want to rub it in write something like “what am I not welsh enough for you” someone might have a laugh at that at the census depo.

Ok so this time I have decided to put my rantings in video form which I think I might do from now on as it would be more entertaining although I forgot to mention a few things including how edf ripped me off the signup bonus they promised me, so I will have to add this at a later date.

This episode shows how I have been ranting about tv adverts but I should have also mentioned the confused.com ladies needlessly bouncy boobies, and how the youtube version has a tonne of women with ridiculousely bouncy boobs the other adverts didnt have any tshirt wobble so why this one does is beyond me.  I also mention about assassins creed brotherhood and my steam games collection.  I may have to do a part two of this video to include all of the things I forgot to mention as they’re mostly on the same subject.

I was reading the other day in the daily express that a group of clampers who had extorted upto £500,000 from motorists were jailed for 4 years, and obviousely I was interested to read this article because they were the same company who had towed away my mazda, knowing that they had been on watchdog and other programmes for acting illegally and with the extortionate daily charges they were asking for I refused to pay.

The company in question were NPC National Parking Control operating in birmingham, gary southall and wayne southall were both arrested along with clamp operator phillip bennet.

What the article did not mention was how to go about claiming your car back now that they had been arrested, I had been looking for an actual address to correspond to for a while in relation to getting my car back and they only had a fake forwarding address registered which was no good, and now that they will be in jail for years who knows how you’re meant to claim your vehicle back, will the government forward it to you or are you meant to wait til they get out of jail?

Having watched this series of the apprentice every week I have noticed major fualts with the majority of the candidates chosen this year and I wonder how they made it past the auditioning process.  I feel they may have been chosen more for thier entertainment factor rather than thier business prowess.  Frequently they would either lie or completely make up facts about products in order to get sales, they would badger people and blag thier way through the tasks with no actual management potential.  On an operational level they dont have many problems, but as task leaders they always seem to struggle and some of them even panic like a rabbit caught in the headlights.

Even at the start of todays episode, one of the candidates had a title of “unemployed head of somethingorother” what on earth does that mean, if you were head of some department then thats one thing, you’re either head of that department or you’re unemployed, former head of whatever would be acceptable, and why were you now unemployed were you that poor at the job, how long were you in that job, possibly a day trial knowing the blag factor of these candidates.

I would find it suprising if any of these people would ever make the draft if it wasn’t for this program, selling by any means neccissary including lying and cheating isn’t right wheres thier corporate/business responsibility.  If I was task manager on these candidates I would have had words long ago on the way they act.  And with some of thier idea’s they come up with someone needs to have the courage to point out the ridiculousely useless ones, it doesn’t take a genious to spot how bad some of these are.  You could forgive a week or two of bad idea’s but almost every week things have been poor, okay so some weeks it was obvious which team was going to win with the poor idea and the good idea, but this week I would say both were bad from the outset.  The tagline for the octo-kleen was stupid, I mean because 8 hands are better than 2 what on earth has that got to do with anything, and its completely meaningless bumph, at least the germ o nator had a viral aspect, just the excecution of it was pulled off poorly.  They could have either focused more on the germ destruction aspects of the product, or had a similar video with something like dirt o nator as the name as it would be a cleaning of deeply dirty products, and replace the boy with a weak nerdy student and that would have worked good.

Of course I would have said the octo-Kleen product should have been the losing product personally as its meaningless tagline and alienating the core market should have definately lost the task for them, I guess lord alan believed the main flaw with the other team was that it included a young boy on the product which was against the whole “keep away from children” tag and deemed it dangerous.

I cant believe I dont appear to have posted since september, what happened there? Lots to do, should really post more on here.
