Tasting and giving my opinion on an oreo coated doughnut as well as a lemon lime and cucumber sprite that I got at bargain prices I decided to start up a new series called “tasting treats” where I would try out nice nibbles and give my opinions on them as I give them a taste.

Starting off with the oreo doughnut I found myself disappointed that it didn’t have the crispy cookie crumbs coating the doughnut as expected, and the cream filling was so disproportioned compared to the stodgy chocolate flavoured doughnut that the balance didn’t portray the expected flavour or experience of oreo cookies as expected, admittedly I did pay only 11p for both doughnuts at 90% off so there is something to be said that perhaps the short dated nature could have softened the crunch but the fact that there seemed to be none at all suggests that maybe they hadn’t intentionally put crunch into the topping which would have made a big difference to the taste.

This wasn’t the only negative with the doughnut though as the icing on the coating was so thin and lacking that it didn’t feel as much of a premium doughnut as expected and definitely not on level with krispy Kreme doughnuts which have a much better balance, with the doughnuts being lighter and having more of a treat feel with high flavour content, which is what I expected from something like this officially branded oreo but I was highly disappointed to discover differently.

The other bargain I obtained was two 2l bottles of sprite for £1.50, but this was no ordinary sprite, this was lemon lime and CUCUMBER flavoured sprite, yes you heard right cucumber in a carbonated drink. I’ve had cucumber flavoured crisps in a pringles like container before and they were surprisingly alright and again I was pleasantly surprised with the carbonated cucumber flavouring which although being very forthright actually seemed a refreshing taste that worked as a carbonated drink.

I could see why they might have designed a cucumber based sprite having served many pimms cocktails in my time working at a variety of events with alchoholic beverages and these always included usually fresh chopped cucumbers but I can see why having it also inside of the lemonade you might use would be good for depth of flavour progression for cocktails and I would also see how this might make an interesting mixer with other alcoholic beverages as well as being a summer based unique drink to enjoy in the hot weather.

All in all I was pleasantly surprised by the sprite cucumber lemon and lime variety as it did have a strong cucumber taste but after a few sips this fades to the traditional lemon and lime variety which gives an interesting drink on your palate that evolves as you drink it, and would definitely be an interesting weapon to add to your mixer arsenal for any summer events you might have, while the oreo doughnut just proved wholly disappointing, being too stodgy with the chocolate doughnut and a poor balance of flavours lacking the expected crunch of the oreo crumbs on top and just feeling like I would rather have had a fresh standard jam doughnut over it.

Trying to get back in shape and feel happier about myself after the years of maladministration I’ve been subjected to and my body falling into terrible shape and after a crisis of mental health issues I have not only been trying to get back into shape in sometimes desperate and stupid measures but also in order to feel happier about my looks I decided to buy some extreme facial products and leave them on for extreme periods overnight where it states to leave them on at most for 30 minutes and show off the results.

I try both a charcoal face mask and a 24 karat gold collagen one, both have a little effect which seems temporary and perhaps down to my own ill health which could be liver problems as this is where my doctor states the pain is even though I have to wait up to 26 weeks for a hospital appointment to get a proper scan, however I wish to look better sooner as I want to try and win back my ex and feel a little hopeful for something I want in life to go right for once.

Having tried both products however it is clear that one works far better than the other, at least in overnight usage terms. The 24 karat gold collagen facemask seems a little misleading, not only does the package show a slip on mask, but the gold is shown to be more extreme than the glue like liquidy glitter texture you end up with, which peels off too easily and doesn’t feel or look like it works as well as the charcoal face mask, which dries to a satisfying rubbery texture which dries to a satisfying peel to remove blackheads and impurities and also looks like it whitens the skin better at least in a temporary nature to leave a much better complexion for the day ahead, this does however fade and pass but again if I’ve got liver problems perhaps results might last longer for you at home.

I have used one1x however I notice that since my purchase clearasil and other products have their own charcoal products so perhaps this is an upcoming thing, either way I would recommend the charcoal face mask over any others as it does the job and feels more like it’s working and peels off satisfyingly.

Growing up Ive had some serious problems which Ive always thought I should have been taken to hospital for such as when Ive vomitted for about a week without being able to eat or drink food, bad chest pains etc, however recently when Ive actually taken myself to hospital Ive found that they are in fact quite useless, symptoms being firstly utterly freezing cold unable to retain heat, secondly absolutely no appettite without being able to force much food down, thirdly a huge rash over much of my body, a few days after all these symptoms I get a bit of a cough and a sore throat, and cough up a bit of blood so decide to go to hospital, the doctor checks my blood pressure, checks my tempurature and looks down my throat and decides its just a throat infection even though there were problems which started elsewhere, and it doesnt explain the rash of absolute zero appettite.  Then he states take 2 paracetemol every 8 hours, painkillers when I have no pain, thats going to do a lot, what about antibiotics? Useless doctors, and he also stated you’re young and healthy you’ll be fine, how does he know some tests he did, assuming because Im young I cant have any serious illnesses, speaking to other non qualified people the two more likely things which actually explain more of my symptoms were liver failure, or glandular fever, and the throat infection being a SECONDARY issue. It makes you wonder what is the point in going to doctors if they are so incompetent and just presume things without actually testing anything. People have also noted that the current trend is for doctors to perscribe painkillers and paracetemol for everything regardless of your symptoms, like a pill for all conditions, no wonder superbugs are prevailing.
