Was looking around amazon to use a voucher I have, and put products under £10, of course the irritating thing with amazon is all the times that you can put that and the actual amazon new prices are vastly outside the search criteria instead it shows products from other people which are outside voucher jurisdiction etc…

Anyway to my horror and suprise I saw the following product, at one thousand pounds for a playstation one game, this must be some highly rare saught after product you would think, but I think not, look at how other people on the marketplace offer it from 1p lol, quite a markup to be made, perhaps worth buying at one pence and putting on ebay? lol somehow I suspect you would never make anything like one thousand from the sale of such an item, unless platinum coated in a diamond case and high tech beyond ps3 graphics on a ps1 game!

Working for creative events at the NEC the companies acceptable employment policy is that you will be happy to work from 7am no matter where you live up until 4pm with no break and no food, then have 20 minutes (or as long as it takes you to eat a tiny sandwhich a packet of crisps a kitkat and an apple) then have the supervisor come and say youve finished eating get back to work, where you are then expected to work for another 2 hours minimum up to 4 hours, or up to until 10pm or later sometimes on closedown days.

Or course for me to make it there that early I have to wake up at 4am and set out at 5am to make the transportation links to get to the NEC in time for 7am. All the time getting hungrier and lacking the energy to actually do a decent days work, of course I get comments about being one of the best barrista’s they have but it doesn’t matter that I’m being starved and I’m not exactly one of the biggest people in the world far from it, I actually need to keep my energy levels maintained at a reasonable level or I do get highly irritable.

Doing this as a daily job day in day out in the middle of winter being frozen in the mornings even though Im wearing 4 coats on top of things I still catch a cold, being weak from lack of food of course I was bound to get ill, but they don’t consider that so I guess Ill just find somewhere which actually understands that if you want someone to remain well and still do a good job you’ve got to treat them right rather than just a body to fill the space, no wonder I was one of the best workers, I actually made an effort rather than being a spaced out zombie lacking food, or stealing all the cookies to eat.

Besides isn’t it a legal requirement that you get 30 minutes break for 6 hours work, 45 for 7, an hour for over 8 hours work… hmmm I’m pretty sure I only signed out of the 48 hour working week, not all of my legal rights. But hey the law doesn’t care everyone seems to break it even ITC who are supposed to keep your tv clean before 9PM dont care anymore.

Okay so after seeing an advert online for a room at £135 per month, including all bills and broadband of course I was interested (and I specify the advert did say per month) emailed the person and arranged to view the propety. Being quite poor or course I walked to the place, which was quite a trek away from where I am right now, to get there and be told that the place was only available for one month as someone else was going to move in in february, why on earth would you advertise it let it out to someone for the next month onwards and then say its still available? Utterly pathetic, another long trek back, which I must add on the way there roadsigns had been stolen so roads where nameless and it was even harder to find the place.

I need my own flat, and one that I can afford, why is this so impossible. Im thinking I dont even care which town I end up in just so long as Ive got a place which is affordable, I just dont care anymore its that impossible to find somewhere of your own to live. (because society is priced for couples to be sharing the cost of living not an individual to be able to afford to rent eat and pay bills without working 70 hours a week.)

This is one irritating thing I dont get. Why on earth do people thing the best place to slow down or come to a complete halt is right in the doorway of a shop? The street, or further inside the shop theres plenty of room for people to get past, but if you decide to stand still in the entrance thats just stupid. Theres little room to go around and you’re stopping traffic. Would it be acceptable to stop at the entrance or exit to a motorway? I think not, so if I decide to squeeze past you after you ignore me saying excuse me then don’t get annoyed, find somewhere better to stand.

Second to this is where people decide to stand right in front of products on a shelf and have a conversation so you cant actually see the shelf, stand back let people get to shelves.

Do we really need some sort of written etiquette so that theres rules to follow or can people actually start using there common sense and stand out of the way and not cause a blockage. Also don’t suddenly without looking change direction completely that you’re walking in, I do keep an eye out for how and which direction people are walking but suddenly reversing and running into me, stop and turn around or something!

Finally, having a pram is not a reason to ram people, people will move out of the way for you, I know I do, but just ramming it into me is kind of inexcusable, sometimes I think if you’re going to do that I shouldn’t have to jump physically to avoid treading on your child you have just rammed into me. Do you not have any sort of care for your child you’re putting them at risk ramming them towards someones legs, Im so tempted to tread on a child sometimes just because you’ve seen my feet are walking there and shoved your child into my foot, why should I react to stop treading on your child you’ve shoved there.

Asda, sainsburies, and another supermarket have been fined by the OFT for grouping together to fix milk prices at a higher than acceptable rate. So what where does this leave us, I havent seen a change in the prices on the shelves, milks still stupidly expensive that Im using it less not in tea, not having cereal as much as I should.

How long will it be before milk is at an acceptable affordable price again? You can get in some supermarkets the equivalent amount of yazoo or some other flavored milk cheaper than plain supermarket milk

This is ridiculous milk is a basic, it shouldnt be priced as a luxury, they should all be fined for fixing prices so high.

Specifically at circus casino hurst street, birmingham city center.

All you have to do is wait for someone to sit at the table, place your chips in front of them so that youve “taken” that position. then once theyve purchased thier chips theyll think especially if youve sat right on the end that if you place your chips first on the spot infront of you thats your spot right? Wrong even if youve placed your chips, and the dealer saw you and didnt say a thing, and the other person places thier chips on top of yours, win or lose its thier box and nothing you can do about it, even if its obvious that it should be your box from where youre sat, the casino dont care in the slightest.

Soooo feel free to steal whoevers chips you like in the casino. They wont care and will do nothing to put things right.

Okay first trip to a proper official casino, at the entrance desk, they play music like on rpg games so its like youre entering a game world rather than an official place to gamble.

On the food side of the casino, as its in the chinatown part of birmingham its clever that they decided to make chinese food the full menu. The food was a little overpriced, but still good. The rice comes on a plate with enough to share with 2 people, of course every other circus casino has different foods. I would have rather ate at one of the other casinos as chinese food doesnt really fill me up well.

Another downside is that they had a set menu 3 courses for £10 but they wouldnt allow me to order off that even though they gave me that menu to choose from, and had a single course with rice for £10. No explaination was given as to why I wasnt allowed to order, would have been nice to have been told why.

Remember at all times only ever gamble with what you can afford to lose, as the games are already in the houses favour before other people are allowed to steal from you with no recourse.

Okay so you get a runny nose, or a cold, hardly going to kill you, but tv blasts you with adverts to take medication to get rid of it as soon as possible, a headache, nothing major but most people will reach for the pill box rather than thier inner strength.

Is it any wonder why we have a problem with microscopic organisms getting use to the medication, and it doesn’t help our self defense system either, if they rely on the medication doing all of the work for them your white blood cells are going to become lazy and just not bother.

The only times you should really take medication is when you’re suffering from something that your body cant heal, and you’d be surprised at the injuries your body can heal without medication. Dont give in to the pharmaceutical companies who just want you to buy thier products, they dont actually care about your health. Take a day off, lie in bed and recover with a nice warm drink, its not going to do any harm if you have a day off and relax a little to recover.

I think there should be a call for all over the shelf medical products to be capped, so that only people with a VALID reason for needing medication can obtain it, it would also reduce abuse by drug addicts.

You will have a stronger more healthy body if you dont rely on over the shelf medication.

Or the apparent home of witty banter. Basically its UKTV:men but they thought that was a bit sexist and couldn’t come up with anything better, as a last resort and as a lame sort of joke someone suggested “dave” as a name for it, obviousely the committee couldn’c come up with something better, and decided to go with dave… at least thats how I think it happened. I’d been suspecting fora while that it was uktv, with all the uktv adverts in there. of course my suspicions were proved right with a quick visit to http://uktv.co.uk/dave

One annoying thing about the channel is if theres nothing else on on the weekend and you’ve put the channel on, and theres “nothing but” something or other, in this case bottom, they will show 3 or 4 episodes of the thing then repeat them again and again throughout the day so that theres no point watching the channel, and you’ve put it on as a last resort anyway due to the fact that theres nothing else on and most of the other freeview channels are just showing repeats of what they’ve had on every other day of the week. But thats for another rant.

The way the channels going, I just see it using up all of its content by christmas, unless they’re going to get some more repeats of olde bbc things, theres only so much there before they’ve completely ran out.

Well… the tv licence… what can I say… luckily I live with people who pay for the licence for the house, so I dont have to pay

But I mean come on if youre not going to watch the channel you still have to pay for it just to watch any other channel, imagine you have to pay for a sky subscription even tho you dont actually watch the thing. Wheres the difference there? The technology exists where you can encode the channel so that you have to have a special decoder card to recieve specific channels which arent free, so why should the bbc be in such a state that you have to pay for it to watch other channels?

Imagine supermarkets giving you brussel sprouts, you can take as many as you like but you have to pay £20 to enter the supermarket to purchase other items, but the brussels are free for you to take, but you cant enter without paying for them. The bbc is working in the same way, not exactly the best method.

What do they do with all of these fees anyway? they spend it however the hell they like, making little pointless before show ditties of circles to show some sort of pointless thing. And there is the odd show I would watch, like heroes, but hey thats already been on nbc and Id rather pay for that channel, watch it when it first comes out and have some better shows on there as well

And what is the reason they dont make it so that you have to have a special decoder or reciever to get the bbc channels? because they get away with not having to, its the law to have to pay for them forcing it upon you, how legal is that really? If you dont want it and you want to watch other channels (which are paid for by adverts) surely it should be perfectly legal not to pay and to just not have the bbc channels… when will that day come? surely soon, theres only so long they can do this which in my minds isnt too legal, being forced to pay for a channel which if it wasnt free the majority of the people wouldnt actually have!

Didnt have a blog to rant about this at the time… but how long is three days? in basic terms youd think 72 hours right? at a push you would think maybe 60 hours, but… when I booked a “3 day test drive” with them they booked me on from 6pm (when I picked up the car) to 9am 2 days away, and only because I objected strongly about the fact that they were trying to book me in at the end of the next day… hardly a three day test drive…

On top of that the car was a bit poor to drive… it had a mpg reading which you constantly got distracted from the road by trying to get the best mph 9and getting 99mph at some points was a highlight but definately far more distracting than most things, looked far too much at that readout, definately at least 10% of the road time which was bad.

The car was huge, difficult to park, filled a whole tesco car parking space with no room to open the doors, so parked taking up 2 spaces because I didnt want to scratch it against the 2 pillars which are every 2 spaces lol. Last thing about it was that the seating position was a bit high and you felt more like you were in a van rather more than a car… Dont think Ill be booking another test drive with them… hardly the best service if they cant even provide the 3 days they say they will provide the car for ha. Makes you think what other services they offer will be of similarly bad service?
